Feature and Follow Friday #3

Feature and Follow Friday is a weekly blog hop hosted by Parajunkee and Alison Can Read. The rules include writing a blog post in response to the Question of the Week and then following the hosts, the two featured bloggers, and anyone else in the original list you like. The goal is to gain new friends and followers, so comment on every blog post you come across. For more specific rules, check out their much more substantial posts!

Question of the Week: What books did you give other people this holiday season? - via AlisonCanRead

Answer: Unfortunately, I wasn't able to give books this holiday season, but choosing from my favorite novels I read I would have given anything by Veronica Roth or the Abandoned series by Meg Cabot. While Awaken, the third book, had a great ending, Meg's writing always borderlines MG and YA, so if you haven't read any MG for a while you'll need to get into the right mindset to enjoy it.

What books did you give or would have liked to give?

Check out the other bloggers and spread the love!

  1. I haven't read the Abandon Series by Meg Cabot, but I did read her Mediator Series. Good picks! Thank you for stopping by. :)

  2. Hello! Merry Christmas!

I'm just like you, I could give away any book this season. So sad! I'm only read the first book of the Abandon Series. I think is great but I don't know, then the second didn't get me too much.

    Following you. Here's my #FF

    1. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! The series did fall a little flat, but I think the third book made up for it. The middle novel always feels slow or flat to me for most series.

Thank you for following and commenting :D

  3. I haven't read either of those, but I've been wanting to read the Abandon series! Great picks!

    Here's my F&F!

    1. The Abandon series called to me as soon as I heard it was a spin on Persephone, but I think a more adult version would be even better to get to the true nitty-gritty of the myth. Divergent is one of the few books that I had no complaints about, so you should check them both out when you can!

Thank you for your lovely comment :D
